Hi, I’m Mini!
My humans tell me I’m the face of Mini’s Magnets! They say I have a “big job”- looking cute for all of the picture. For me, that’s easy!
I’m a 6-year-old, teeny tiny, 6lb chihuahua. With all of the toys, treats, and love I could ever want, I am spoiled for sure. I even dress up every day to come to work with my mom. My closet is probably bigger than hers!
When I first met my parents in the beginning of 2024, I was nervous, timid, and scared of everything. Everything was so new; my whole life was changing right before my eyes. My parents talked often about how they were “fostering”, saying silly things like they “definitely would not adopt me” and they “already had their hands full” with all of my furry siblings. But I knew that wasn’t the truth!
After a few weeks of learning that I was safe in my new environment, I started to come out of my shell. I gained confidence! I let my big personality blossom, showing my humans all of my silly quirks. From my happy, tappy feet, to my snaggly teeth and raspy little bark, they loved everything about me. I could tell; I had quickly won over both of their hearts.
They adopted me in April of 2024. Since then, I have become my mom’s tiny best friend (don’t tell my fur siblings). I’ve learned my dad is a safe place. I go to work with my parents where I’m continuing to work on my nervousness. The people at our office are so kind, they give me treats and words of encouragement. I’m learning to trust them too!
I don’t enjoy the company of children, and I’m not sure I ever will. They seem to move so fast and unpredictably, I never know where their feet are going to land. I am also weary of strangers.
I really enjoy the company of other dogs, and I’ve hardly met a furry friend I didn’t like. I am a bit scared around larger dogs, since I’m so tiny, but I can hold my own! My brother, Artie, is my best furry friend. He’s a 5-year-old Bichon Frise who is always rocking a cute new hairstyle. He usually comes to work with us and on days that he doesn’t, I’m always eager to get home and see him. When I’m gone, I think he misses me too!
I have found my little slice of heaven, my home, and my pack.
